Cashrelief-Baseline report is out now We have completed out pilot of giving unconditional cash of Rs 96000 to ultra poor household in a rural village in Rajasthan. Before we gave out the money we had conducted a baseline study of 4 village hamlets. All these hamlets had similar level of poverty and were situated close to each other. After completing the baseline our research team decided in which hamlet we should should give money. The hamlet where we gave money is called ” treatment” hamlet. The hamlets where we didn’t give money are called. ” control” hamlets. This helps the researchers say with some certainty whether the situation improved in the chosen village because of our intervention or not. We will be coming out with a midline and end line report in the near future. You can read the baseline report here Cashrelief Baseline Report
